Choosing the right size can be stressful, especially with made-to-order clothing where there’s little room for mistakes.
When selecting costumes without armour, we highly recommend using our tailoring service, particularly for officer suits, to achieve the best regimental appearance. Standard sizes may fit looser on some troopers, and alterations can be historically challenging to make locally. For those wearing heavy armour, standard sizing is generally acceptable, as much of it will be covered.

Trooping involves a lot of sweating, regardless of your costume. Irrespective of your costume, we also recommend wearing a compression suit. This will aid in recovery after a long trooping session and will capture most of the moisture, which can be machine-washed. This practice will significantly extend the lifespan of your costume, protecting your
investment. When you do need to wash them, hand wash in cold water and line dry.

Officers suits should be dry cleaned. If your suit or costume is weathered, we recommend against washing it, as this could diminish your hard work. Instead, line drying in the sun will effectively kill bacteria. Alternatively, you may spray your clothes with vodka or a high-alcohol content liquid (without scent), and if any odour persists, Febreze can help eliminate it.
