During the Covid period, I started a project called Childhood Memories, which focuses on recapturing the joy of playing with the original Kenner toys and the emotions they brought me as a child. The goal was to create a display that I could showcase in my home, reflecting my fandom in a way that complements any decor without overwhelming it with over “geekiness”aiming to give a unique twist to these classic toys.

To begin, I digitally scanned the classic Kenner toys in 3D and cleaned up the files, adjusting them to create a bust rather than a toy. I started with the classic Stormtrooper, resizing the file to a 1:1 scale, allowing me to have a life-sized version of that particular toy. From there, I reduced it to a smaller bust ( 1:8)that fits on a Base01 helmet display holder, reimagining the design so it slides in effortlessly and looks striking.

I created 25 signed versions of these pieces, using a fiber glass and resine body, high-gloss paint. However, the production costs are quite high, especially in such small quantities, and the pieces are quite heavy, leading to expensive shipping costs.
So these 25 were meant as gifts to some special people.

The 3D file is now available on my website, allowing anyone to download it, print the character they’re interested in, and paint it to fit their own narrative. The file is designed to work perfectly with the BaseOne helmet display, making it easy for anyone to become part of the project and create their own version. I’ve already uploaded several characters and am continually working on more.
